Manufacturing of rotary-blowing moulds for a global soft-drink company for multiple franchises across India

Project duration: 8 months Project scope: – Technical and aesthetic design of a carbonated drink bottle, based on inputs from the customer – Testing of pilot mould and bottle samples as per international standards – Manufacturing of moulds for different rotary blowing machines (> 50 moulds) Project synopsis: The objective of this project was to design a common bottle for different flavours of carbonated drinks and manufacture moulds for six franchise-bottling operations of a global beverage brand in India. This was what we call a “full scale project”, which starts with designing the bottle, followed by pilot mould trials and ends with the manufacturing of commercial moulds for each franchise . Bottle designing ·         Based on the customer inputs like product application, pack-size and preform weights, we initiated the process of designing the bottle ·         With our in-house team of design eng...

What is Additive Manufacturing

Far from being a process or just a trend, additive manufacturing is more of a technological revolution that comes under the fourth industrial revolution. As the name suggests, the additive manufacturing process works by adding materials. Layers upon layers of materials are deposited successively on top of each other until the desired object is produced. What is additive manufacturing? Additive manufacturing (AM) is the industrial manufacturing process that uses computer-aided-design (CAD) software or 3D object scanners to direct hardware to deposit material, layer upon layer, to create desired geometric shapes. How does additive manufacturing work? The very first step in additive manufacturing is to create a 3D model of the object. This model can be designed using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This CAD file is now converted to a standard additive manufacturing file format, which is usually an STL file. The STL file is then digitally sliced into different layers. The third...

Quick Change Moulds by Awanti Polymoulds – Precision for High-Speed Bottle Manufacturing

In the fast-paced world of beverage and packaging industries, speed, accuracy, and durability define the success of any production process. At Awanti Polymoulds, we specialize in delivering high-performance Quick Change Moulds that are engineered to meet the exacting standards of modern rotary blowing machines.   Whether you are bottling water, juice, or carbonated drinks, our moulds ensure smooth, high-speed operation and consistent bottle quality—day after day, year after year. ⚙ ️ What Are Quick Change Moulds? Quick change moulds are specialized components used in rotary stretch blow molding machines to produce PET bottles at incredibly high speeds. These moulds are mounted individually in each blowing station, which rotate rapidly during operation. Precision engineering is critical—each mould must maintain dimensional accuracy and integrity under high pressure and heat 🏭 Why Choose Awant Polymoulds? At Awant Polymoulds, we bring decades of experience in designing and m...
