Positive Mental Attitude to Moulds Leadership

Awanti Polymoulds, Pune - the leader, the trendsetter in manufacturing of PET bottle moulds has from day one has implemented the above way of work-achievement through positive attitude!

They say sometimes opportunity of success arrives in disguise- the same probably happened with Shirish Kshirsagar, the mechanical and production engineer and the founder, director of Awanti, in 1990- around 3 decades ago, in the factory in Pune, India. A down to earth, the self-made man without any mumbo-jumbo and hoopla about work, had a vision to make it big, fire in the belly, the strength of engineering knowledge and most important- the profound desire to meet the technology challenges.

This is when Awanti Polymoulds began with the opportunity to manufacture jar moulds for Pearl Polymers. After the approbation and successful delivery of the mould, Awanti stood strong and straight, looking beyond the horizon, geared up to welcome the next opportunity. In a short span, Awanti worked with giants like Coca-Cola and Sidel offering them PET bottle moulds that met their critical standards.

Soon Awanti expanded its work in all directions, manufacturing moulds for all product categories like packaged drinking water, natural mineral water, sparkling water, carbonated fruit-drinks, hot-fill, and cold-fill juices, edible oil, liquor, pharma, and home-care products.
Slowly and steadily, Awanti created a niche in blow moulds for PET bottles. Growing from strength to strength. Specializing in PET moulds for rotary machines, as well as linear machines, the company has worked for all the leading brands like Coca Cola, Bisleri, Patanjali, Pale agro, Budwiser, Kingfisher, Kraft Heinz amongst others.

Here is how they interpret, inculcate and implement in the company this attitude - in the entire flow-chart of proficient work and accurate plastic bottle mould manufacture.

  • Positive belief system- When you believe it, you can achieve it!- when you visualize it – you can implement it! Awanti team has an undeterred belief system that makes them reach the goal of global standard PET mould.

  • The 24X7 creative spirit- Every sunrise is a new, fresh day that begins at Awanti- to study the briefing of the new PET bottle requirement. This is handled by the research, design and production team of engineering firebrands at Awanti. They know- creative ideas can find a solution to problems in the process, and also give rise to new inputs in mould making. This has made them innovative in mould manufacturing.

  • Go the extra mile- This they do, where others would have given up. The team goes ahead the extra mile to achieve the mark set higher than the beverage or any other bottle manufacturer.

  • Integrity- This is in the axiom and attribute of the team as well as the differentiator of the Awanti PET mould- both are integrated. In the human effort, integrity is eloquent in the teamwork, team- interpersonal, interdepartmental communication, at every stage of mould manufacture. The same mark of integrity is achieved in the mould design, manufacture, the especially alloys used for moulds and ultimately the testing of the mould performance.

Now for Awanti Polymoulds, the thematic substratum is: every mould manufacturing success is a goal and also a brief stopover to go for the next, in the journey. This has made Awanti transend the seven seas and carve a niche footprint in several countries like Poland, Awanti expertise has won accolades from several countries like India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Maldives, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Bahrain, Guinea, Kenya, Cyprus, Cape Verde, UAE, Poland, Australia.

The list is growing. Success through positive mental attitude is also growing for Awanti- positively.

Moulds for Better Shelf Life of PET Bottles

Before we talk about Shelf Life of  PET Bottles  let us first understand what does the term shelf life means. Shelf life is the duration of time period measured from the date of manufacture, that a good is likely to endure within its accepted product specification while stocked under defined conditions. Shelf life is characteristically stated in units of months, i.e. 12 months, 24 months, up to a limit of 60 months. The expression “shelf life” and “expiry date” is frequently interchangeably made use of in the industry, as both the terms reflect the same notion: there is a duration of time period where a good is stable and harmless for use. Shelf life/expiry dates suggests the time where a good will work both securely and efficiently. This is the reason why “shelf life testing” is also known as “stability testing”. The total amount of time a product can remain stable under specific environmental circumstances, equates to its shelf life. Now let us understand what shelf ...

Introduction to Injection Moulding

Awanti Polymoulds , a  Blow Mould Manufacturer in India , started its journey in the industry of  precision machining  and  Mould Manufacturing  more than three decades ago. In the initial years, along with  PET Blow Moulds , Awanti manufactured  Injection Moulds  for various products in the beverage industry and automotive industry. Injection moulding , as the title suggests is implemented using an injection technique. It is a manufacturing process to produce different parts or moulded products by injecting molten material into the moulds and then cooling and solidifying them. Injecting moulding involves six steps like clamping, injection, dwelling, cooling, mould opening, and removal of the product. The clamping unit is used for the opening and closing of the die. It helps in the product’s ejection at the end of the process. The clamping unit is of 2 types: toggle type and straight-hydraulic type. The injection unit is used to melt the pl...

Lean Manufacturing

Lean manufacturing is a method for eliminating or reducing waste from the manufacturing process. Introduced by Toyota in the year 1930, the term “lean’ was first coined in 1988. Lean manufacturing has since become standard practice in every industry. In recent years, many manufacturing processes have been adopting a lean method for greater efficacy, efficiency, and profitability. But what do you mean by lean manufacturing? And why is it so important? What is Lean Manufacturing? Lean manufacturing is a continual process of minimizing waste and maximizing productivity within a manufacturing operation. Waste is anything that uses resources without adding value to what the customers will pay for. Waste in industry processes, whether poor processes, idle workers, or unused supplies, is a drain on throughout, and lean manufacturing aims to remove all these. What are the Five Principles of Lean Manufacturing?  Lean manufacturing is built of five core principles for improving e...
